A meeting was held between the Career and Alumni Relations Center of Baku State University (BSU) and representatives of the Azerbaijan International Bank (ABB) OJSC to discuss students’ professional development and the implementation of joint projects.
The meeting was attended by Head of the Career Planning Department Gunel Gurbanova, Chief Specialist Ilkin Sharifov, Consultant Malakhanim Gurbanova, as well as ABB’s Lead Product Owner Vasif Naibov and Lead Customer Experience Specialist Sabina Mammadova.
Gunel Gurbanova provided the guests with detailed information about the Center’s activities, services offered to students, and ongoing projects, emphasizing that expanding cooperation with employers is one of the key priorities.
During the meeting, ABB representatives put forward several proposals aimed at enhancing students’ knowledge and skills. They presented the “Faydamania” project, which focuses on improving young people’s financial literacy, highlighting its importance for budget management, effective use of banking services, and the development of sound financial decision-making skills among students.
The parties discussed future areas of cooperation, including startup-oriented projects, hackathons, the organization of various trainings and seminars, as well as internship programs at ABB that reflect a real working environment for students. Bank representatives expressed their readiness to provide both technical and mentoring support for these initiatives.
The meeting was regarded as an important step toward strengthening mutual cooperation and enhancing support for students’ career development.
