The “OIC Model International Relations Academy – 2025” project, jointly implemented by the Eurasian Regional Center of the Islamic Cooperation Youth Forum (ICYF-ERC), the Ministry of Youth and Sports, and Baku State University (BSU), is continuing successfully.
Advisor to the Minister of Science and Education, Nicat Mammadli, delivered a presentation on “Science, Technological Progress, and State Sovereignty.” Additionally, Rafiq Ismayilov, Director General of ICYF-ERC, spoke on “Behind-the-Scenes Determining Factors in International Relations.” Both speakers highlighted the role of science and technology in state policy, as well as the key factors shaping global power dynamics in contemporary international relations.
The session continued with a Q&A segment, during which participating youth addressed numerous questions to the speakers.
It should be noted that throughout the six-week “OIC Model International Relations Academy – 2025” program, heads of diplomatic missions representing OIC member states in Azerbaijan, along with Azerbaijani state officials and subject-matter experts, will deliver lectures on international relations, state-building, Islamic civilization, the role of the OIC in the world, national statehood fundamentals, and other relevant topics.
More than 600 young people from over 15 leading higher education institutions applied to participate in the project. Based on their knowledge of the subject and foreign language competencies, 100 outstanding applicants were selected for the program.
