Baku State University (BSU) is hosting a specialized Career Fair titled “A Bridge to a Professional Future”, organized by the University’s Career and Alumni Relations Center and dedicated to the fifth anniversary of the nation’s historic Victory.
Twelve leading financial institutions representing the country’s banking sector are presenting various vacancies within the event. More than 2,000 students and graduates are expected to participate.
Speaking at the opening ceremony, BSU Vice-Rector for Social Affairs, Student Affairs, and Public Relations, Alish Agamirzayev, noted that one of the most important ranking indicators of any university is the ability of its graduates to secure strong positions in the labor market. BSU maintains close cooperation with the country’s major industrial and production enterprises, which plays a key role both in graduate employment and in integrating labor market requirements into the teaching process: “Every year, BSU organizes Career Festivals with the participation of more than 100 companies. These events provide students with access to various job openings and internship programs. Starting this academic year, specialized Career Fairs based on particular fields of study will also be held. In today’s event, 12 prominent banks are offering internship programs and job opportunities to students and graduates in economics-related specialties. Going forward, BSU will host specialized Career Fairs every month with the participation of the country’s leading employers.”
As part of the fair, workshops, seminars, and training sessions will be organized to help students and graduates enhance their knowledge and skills.
At the conclusion of the event, a networking meeting will be held with company representatives and staff of the Career and Alumni Relations Center to discuss expanding cooperation and establishing new partnerships. During the meeting, BSU’s Career Center activity portfolio will be presented, and future collaboration prospects and plans will be discussed.
