Sustainable Development Goals at Baku State University.

Jamila Yusifova, Head of the Methodology and Cooperation Department of the Scientific Library of Baku State University (BSU) and Director of the Azerbaijan Library Information Consortium (AzLIC), participated in the ANKOSLink 2025 International Conference held on 4–6 November 2025 in Ankara, Türkiye.

ANKOSLink 2025, organized under the theme “Library 5.0 and Human-Centered Digital Transformation”, once again brought together more than 700 specialists from 37 foreign countries as one of Türkiye’s and the region’s most influential publishing and librarianship platforms. The event was held at the Presidential National Library upon the initiative of the President of the Republic of Türkiye, Recep Tayyip Erdoğan.

The conference featured discussions on Library 5.0 and human-centered digital transformation, preservation and permanent accessibility of digital content, artificial intelligence and ethics, the role of AI in academic libraries and publishing, strengthening cooperation with international publishers, professional challenges, and information equity.

The opening session featured speeches by Ayhan Tuğlu, Director of Presidential Libraries Administration; İsmail Çetinkaya, President of ANKOS; and Erol Özvar, Minister of Education of Türkiye. This was followed by a presentation from Walid Hasan, Consulting Director at Clarivate, on the development of scientific research in Türkiye in the direction of Open Access. Presentations by other international companies and publishers continued over the following days.

Participation of more than 10 representatives from AzLIC member university libraries of Azerbaijan was organized with the coordination of BSU's Scientific Library and AzLIC. The Azerbaijani delegation engaged in experience exchange with international colleagues and familiarized themselves with new trends and innovative approaches in librarianship.

The official closing ceremony of the conference was held with the participation of the President of the Republic of Turkiye, Recep Tayyip Erdogan.
