Researchers from Baku State University (BSU) have been selected as winners of the “Technology Transfer” program, organized by the High Technologies Park under the Ministry of Science and Education of the Republic of Azerbaijan in cooperation with the Education Development Foundation and the SABAH.HUB Innovation Center.
The project, submitted by the Physics Faculty, was selected as one of five winners among 76 proposals. It focuses on the development of high-frequency photodetectors for use in fiber-optic communication technologies.
The research team includes Professor Ali Huseynov (Department of Semiconductor Physics), faculty member Fidan Ahmadova, and doctoral researcher Lamiya Balayeva. The project aims to design ultra-high-frequency photodetectors that combine structural simplicity with high efficiency. The innovation demonstrates strong potential for commercialization, patenting, and practical implementation in modern optoelectronic systems.
