BSU Students Achieve Outstanding Success at the International Mathematics Olympiad in Bulgaria
Fourth-year students of the Faculty of Mechanics and Mathematics at Baku State University (BSU), Vugar Guliyev and Amil Jabiyev, achieved remarkable results at the International Mathematics Olympiad held in Blagoevgrad, Bulgaria from August 5 to 11.
At the competition organized jointly by the American University in Bulgaria and University College London, participants tackled problems in algebra, real and complex analysis, geometry, and combinatorics.
In the final standings, Vüqar Quliyev won first place and was awarded a gold medal, and Amil Cəbiyev secured third place, earning a bronze medal.
It was also noted that both students previously won the Republic Mathematics Olympiad held in honor of the 101st anniversary of the birth of the National Leader Heydar Aliyev.
