Within the “Career Path – 2” project organized by the Career and Alumni Center of Baku State University (BSU), a training session on “Labor Market Research” was conducted by Ilkin Sharifov, Senior Specialist of the Career Planning Department.
During the training, students were informed about the essence of the labor market, its key elements, actors, analysis methods, the role of the state in the labor market, regulatory mechanisms, and students’ integration into the labor market. It was emphasized that collecting and analyzing statistical data, conducting surveys, and assessing demand across specialties play a crucial role in labor market research.
The session also covered major trends observed in the labor market, the impact of digitalization and technological transformations on the emergence of new professions, and how accurate labor market analysis supports students’ career planning and participation in internship programs.
In the practical part of the training, students worked with real labor market data and improved their individual career planning skills. Participants’ questions related to the topic were also answered.
