Sustainable Development Goals at Baku State University.

An information session dedicated to the 13th session of the World Urban Forum (WUF13) was held at the Faculty of Chemistry of Baku State University (BSU). The event was organized by the Student Scientific Society and the Student Youth Organization within the framework of the “Year of Urban Development and Architecture.”

Chair of the Student Scientific Society at the faculty, Darya Hasanova, noted that the World Urban Forum, organized by the United Nations Human Settlements Programme (UN-Habitat), is one of the largest global platforms dedicated to sustainable urban development. She highlighted that Baku will host WUF13 on 17–22 May 2026. The Forum, held under the theme “Housing for All: Safe and Sustainable Cities and Human Settlements,” plays a significant role in addressing global urban challenges and shaping sustainable development strategies.

Participants were provided with comprehensive information about the importance of the Forum and future initiatives in this field. The event also emphasized the importance of youth engagement in international initiatives related to urban planning and architecture.
