Sustainable Development Goals at Baku State University.

Students of the “Library and Information Activity” programme at the Faculty of Information and Document Management of Baku State University participated in a practical session at the Central Scientific Library of ANAS.

The practical lesson, held within the framework of the course “Electronic Catalogue,” was conducted under the supervision of Associate Professor Rashad Gardashov from the Department of Library and Information Resource Management.

At the beginning, the Director of the Central Scientific Library, Doctor of Technical Sciences Huseyn Huseynov, provided detailed information about the institution’s activities, core principles, and modern library and information services. He highlighted the development of electronic services, the formation of the digital library, and the digitization of publications. It was also noted that an enhanced “Voice Search” function has been implemented on the library’s website, along with an AI-based “Library Guide.”

During the practical session, students became acquainted with the Reprography Department and the departments responsible for the digitization and management of library resources. Deputy Director for Digitization, Innovation, and Electronic Services Oruc Guliyev, together with department staff, demonstrated library processes in practice, and students actively participated in several stages of these operations.
