Students of the Faculty of Law of Baku State University (BSU) met with the Deputy Chair of the Supreme Court, Chingiz Asgarov, within the framework of the “Sharing Experience” project of the Ministry of Science and Education.
Delivering a speech on the topic “Constitution and Rule of Law,” Chingiz Asgarov emphasized that the rule of law should serve as a fundamental principle not only for the judicial system but for all state institutions. He noted that the practical application of constitutional legal norms is one of the key indicators of the rule of law. Every state body must base its decisions on the interests of citizens and the principles enshrined in the Constitution, as this directly affects governance quality and public trust in the state.
At the meeting, held within the “Year of Constitution and Sovereignty,” participants discussed the decisive role of law in human life, the influence of constitutional values on daily decision-making, civic relations, and governance processes.
Afterwards, students’ questions on the topic were answered, and the meeting continued with open discussions.
It should be noted that the aim of the project is to support the personal and professional development of students by promoting the exchange of experience and knowledge across various fields.
