Baku State University (BSU) hosted an awareness-raising training on first aid within the framework of the “Support for Life” project, jointly organized by the University’s Student Youth Organization and the Association of Private Medical Institutions (APMI), with the support of the Agency for State Support to Non-Governmental Organizations.
Chairperson of APMI’s Board, Gunel Aliyeva, informed the students about the project, noting that its purpose is to contribute to the formation of an educated and well-prepared society capable of responding promptly and correctly to emergency situations, and equipped with essential first aid knowledge in higher and secondary vocational education institutions.
During the training, students were practically taught the fundamental principles of first aid, cardiopulmonary resuscitation (CPR — a critical life-saving technique used in cases of sudden cardiac arrest), as well as proper intervention methods in situations such as choking, burns, and injuries.
