Within the framework of the “Organization of Islamic Cooperation (OIC) Model International Relations Academy – 2025” project, jointly implemented by Baku State University (BSU), the Ministry of Youth and Sports, and the Eurasian Regional Center of the OIC Youth Forum, another simulation of the OIC Council of Foreign Ministers was held.
During the simulation, young participants were divided into working groups representing OIC member states and engaged in discussions on pressing issues such as regional security, the role of OIC countries in international transport corridors, and current challenges to unity and sustainable development. The discussions concluded with the adoption of relevant resolutions.
Based on the results of the simulation conference, 10 participants were selected as winners across various nominations.
It should be noted that within the “OIC Model International Relations Academy – 2025” project, which began its activities in October this year, participants attended a six-week lecture program delivered by heads of diplomatic missions representing OIC member states in Azerbaijan, as well as local government officials and field experts. The lectures covered international relations, state-building, Islamic civilization, the global role of the OIC, the foundations of national statehood, and other topical issues.
Over the past years, Azerbaijani students have successfully represented the country at international “OIC Model” competitions attended by representatives from more than 40 OIC member states.
