Baku State University (BSU) continues to enhance education quality by involving not only academic staff but also professionals from various fields in the teaching process. As part of this approach, Director of Baku Zoo, Nazakat İsayeva, joined the 2025/2026 academic year curriculum of BSU’s Faculty of Ecology and Soil Science, teaching the course “Biodiversity Conservation” to 4th-year Ecology students under the Department of Bioecology.
The lectures and practical sessions are conducted directly at Baku Zoo using innovative teaching methods. Students attended sessions at the Zoo’s lecture hall, where they learned about representatives of the reptile class and later observed unique fauna species from Azerbaijan and other countries during an excursion. They were also provided with detailed information about species included in the Red Book and ongoing conservation and reintroduction programs.
