Sustainable Development Goals at Baku State University.

A delegation from the Beijing University of Chemical Technology, China, led by Vice Dean Yu Yuen and comprising faculty members and doctoral students, visited Baku State University (BSU).

The guests met with BSU Rector Elchin Babayev, who highlighted the high-level political, economic, scientific, and cultural relations between Azerbaijan and China. He emphasized the university’s close collaboration with Chinese higher education institutions and stressed the importance of implementing joint projects with Beijing University of Chemical Technology to further strengthen these ties.

During the meeting, the prospects for scientific and academic cooperation between the two universities were discussed.

As part of the visit, the delegation toured BSU’s “Eco Space,” “Student Space,” Student Scientific-Technical Creativity Center, and the Confucius Institute. They also received information about ongoing work in the Nano Research Laboratory, Materials Science Laboratory, and other research labs, and were introduced to scientific research conducted at the Chemistry Faculty, including the nuclear magnetic resonance (NMR) equipment.

At the Student Development Center, a meeting was held between BSU Chemistry Faculty staff, doctoral students, and representatives from Beijing University of Chemical Technology. Video presentations about the history and activities of both universities were shown. Chinese doctoral students shared information about their research, and a fruitful exchange of ideas took place.
