On 26 December 2025, within the framework of the “Year of Constitution and Sovereignty” and in connection with 31 December – International Solidarity Day of Azerbaijanis, an educational excursion to the Azerbaijan Independence Museum was organized by the Faculties of Physics and Geology of Baku State University (BSU) with the support of the BSU Volunteers organization.
The main aim of the event was to enhance young people’s knowledge about the constitutional structure of the Republic of Azerbaijan, state sovereignty, key stages of the history of independence, national unity, and patriotic values, as well as to broaden their socio-political worldview and promote patriotism.
During the excursion, participants were provided with detailed information about the Azerbaijani people’s struggle for freedom and independence, the establishment and activities of the Azerbaijan Democratic Republic, the Soviet period, the restoration of independence, and the development path of the modern Azerbaijani state. Historical documents, rare exhibits, photographs, and visual materials displayed in the museum attracted great interest from students and allowed them to gain a deeper understanding of history.
In connection with the International Solidarity Day of Azerbaijanis, participants were also given additional information on national unity, statehood, and patriotism, emphasizing the importance of solidarity among Azerbaijanis living in different regions of the world. Students noted that these historical and patriotic lessons would have a significant impact on their future personal and professional lives.
