Sustainable Development Goals at Baku State University.

Baku State University (BSU) is establishing a new Archaeology Teaching and Research Center with the aim of expanding scientific research in the field of archaeology and further strengthening the integration of science and education. The Center will be created on the basis of the existing Archaeology Museum and the Biological Anthropology Research Laboratory.

According to the decision adopted by the BSU Academic Council, the Archaeology Museum and the Biological Anthropology Laboratory will be removed from the structure of the University's Center for Excellence in Research, Development and Innovation and incorporated into the newly founded Archaeology Teaching and Research Center.

It should be noted that a memorandum of understanding on cooperation has been signed between BSU and the Institute of Archaeology and Anthropology of the Azerbaijan National Academy of Sciences. The establishment of the new Center will contribute to more effective implementation of this collaboration.

The Archaeology Teaching and Research Center will open up broader opportunities for joint scientific research in archaeology, anthropology, history, and cultural heritage studies. It will also enhance fieldwork, laboratory practices, and research involvement for students and researchers, improve educational and training programs, and facilitate the organization of joint training activities.
