An event titled “The Voice of Victory”, dedicated to the 5th anniversary of 8 November – Victory Day, was held at the Faculty of Geography of Baku State University (BSU). The event was jointly organized by the Student Youth Organizations of the Faculties of Geography and Biology.
The event began with the performance of the National Anthem of the Republic of Azerbaijan, followed by a minute of silence in honor of the cherished memory of the martyrs.
Delivering the opening speech, Professor Magsad Gocamanov, Dean of the Faculty of Geography, stated that Victory Day is an eternal symbol of pride and honor in the history of the Azerbaijani people. He emphasized that the 5th anniversary of the glorious victory achieved during the 44-day Patriotic War is celebrated with great pride and a strong sense of national unity.
Later, participants of the Patriotic War — graduates of the Faculty of Geography Omar Bozbakhov and Javid Ashurov, as well as Ilkin Aghazade, a reserve major of the Special Forces, addressed the audience. Sharing their combat memories, they conveyed powerful messages of patriotism and loyalty to the state to the younger generation.
In the artistic segment of the event, students performed patriotic dances, musical pieces, and poetry recitations. The stage performances reflected the spirit of victory, the heroism of the Azerbaijani soldier, and the unwavering will of the Azerbaijani people for freedom.
