At Baku State University, the field visit of the accreditation commissions within the framework of the international programme accreditation conducted by the Independent Agency for Quality Assurance in Education (IQAA) continues.
International experts are evaluating, in accordance with accreditation procedures, the teaching and administrative processes of 14 master’s degree programmes on-site. During the second day of the visit, the experts became acquainted with newly established laboratories and upgraded infrastructure, assessing research and teaching capacities directly.
Representatives of the Education Quality Assurance Agency also participate as observers in the process.
Within the framework of the field visit, international experts are holding meetings with academic and administrative staff, and closely examining the activities of the University’s structural units. They are also engaging in discussions with students, alumni, and employers to evaluate the alignment of educational programmes with labour market requirements, the effectiveness of the teaching process, and the provision of a student-centred learning environment. In addition, the experts review programme curricula, teaching and learning methodologies, student assessment mechanisms, research activities, and the implementation of the University’s internal quality assurance system.
In the final stage of the field visit, the experts will present preliminary observations and recommendations.
