Sustainable Development Goals at Baku State University.

A training session titled “First Step in Career” was organized for first-year students by the Career and Alumni Relations Center of Baku State University (BSU).

The aim of the training was to help students determine their career directions from the early stages of university life and to support the development of practical skills required in the labor market alongside their theoretical knowledge.

Malakhanim Gurbanova, Advisor at the Alumni Relations Department of the Center, noted that higher education marks the beginning of both personal and professional development. She emphasized that the “First Step in Career” training will make a significant contribution to helping young people align their skills and interests with real opportunities.

The training provided detailed information on the fundamental principles of career planning, identifying individual goals, effective time management, communication skills, teamwork, and strategies for personal development.

The session, held in an interactive format, also explored modern labor market trends, employer expectations for young specialists, personal branding, guidelines for preparing an effective CV (résumé), and self-presentation skills during job interviews. Students’ questions were answered throughout the event.
