On October 31, 2025, the History Faculty of Baku State University organized an interactive meeting with Mirjavid Agalarov, a graduate of the faculty, doctoral candidate at the Institute of Archaeology and Anthropology of Azerbaijan National Academy of Sciences, Chairman of the Council of Young Scientists and Specialists, researcher, recipient of the Presidential Award, and winner of the title “Young Scientist of the Year – 2025.”
The meeting was opened by Tarix Dostiyev, Head of the Department of Archaeology and Ethnography of the History Faculty, who highlighted the importance of maintaining connections with alumni, their role as a source of motivation for students, and Mircavid Agalarov’s achievements as a successful young archaeologist.
During his presentation, Mirjavid Agalarov emphasized the importance of developing an interest in scientific research from a young age, shared his experiences in archaeology, and discussed both the challenges and successes he has encountered on his academic journey. He also introduced the main tools used by archaeologists, answered students’ questions, shared memories from his time as a student at the History Faculty, and provided practical advice on career planning and selecting scientific research directions.
The meeting was held in an interactive and friendly atmosphere, encouraging open discussion between Mirjavid Agalarov, faculty members, and students.
