On November 26, 2025, a master class was held at the Faculty of Geology of Baku State University (BSU), organized by the faculty in collaboration with AzerGold CJSC. The event featured a presentation by Shahbaddin Musayev, Advisor to AzerGold and holder of a PhD in geological‑mineralogical sciences, aimed at sharing professional insights with faculty staff and students.
During the session, Musayev discussed “The Application of Modern Innovative Exploration Methods for Evaluating Ore Potential in the Karabakh and Eastern Zangezur Economic Regions,” highlighting the main directions of geological exploration activities carried out by AzerGold in those regions. He provided information on efforts to increase the efficiency of mineral resource utilization and the commissioning of new mines, based on extensive geological research covering areas such as Karabakh, Eastern Zangezur, Gazakh‑Tovuz, Ganja‑Dashkasan, and the Nakhchivan Autonomous Republic, totaling approximately 15,409 km² of surveyed territory.
The master class served to broaden students’ and faculty members’ understanding of current geological exploration trends and innovative field methods used in the mining sector.
