Sustainable Development Goals at Baku State University.

A master class titled “Synthesis, Structure, and Application Areas of Metal Aryl Carboxylate Complexes in the Presence of Nicotinamide” was delivered at the Faculty of Chemistry by Professor Dr. Hacalı Necefoglu of Kars Caucasus University (Türkiye).

Opening the event, Dean of the Faculty Fuad Karimov welcomed the guest and emphasized that cooperation with Turkish universities, the development of joint projects, as well as the implementation of master’s and doctoral student exchange programs, are among the key priorities of the day. He noted that multifaceted work is currently being carried out at the Faculty in these directions.

Professor Dr. Necefoglu, in his remarks, shared that he had previously been affiliated with the Faculty of Chemistry of Baku State University before continuing his academic career in Türkiye, and he reflected on his professional journey. He also provided information on collaboration opportunities and future prospects with his current university.

In the main part of his lecture, the speaker discussed the synthesis of various heteroatom-containing complexes, structural analyses of synthesized single crystals, experimental testing in different application areas, and the publication of research findings in prestigious scientific journals.

The master class concluded with an interactive discussion and a question-and-answer session.
