As part of the “Masterclass” project, the Faculty of Geography at Baku State University (BSU) hosted a training session titled “Introduction to the Startup Ecosystem.” The session was conducted by Assoc. Prof. Isa Gasimov, head of the Enterprise Azerbaijan portal, operated by the Center for Analysis and Communication of Economic Reforms.
The masterclass aimed to foster innovative thinking among students and faculty, promote startup culture, and support the development of practical entrepreneurial skills.
During the session, discussions focused on global trends in knowledge production and technology transfer, progressive approaches in education, entrepreneurial thinking in developing intellectual capital, and startup-based approaches to knowledge transfer. Prof. Gasimov emphasized that modern universities should not only serve as knowledge transmitters but also become centers of innovation, research, and entrepreneurship.
In the coming months, additional sessions under the “Masterclass” project will be conducted by Isa Gasimov on “Building and Developing a Startup” and “Presentation Skills.
