Sustainable Development Goals at Baku State University.

Baku State University (BSU), in cooperation with the Career and Alumni Center, hosted a masterclass delivered by Ali Taghizade, Deputy Head of the Labor Market and Social Protection Research Department of the National Observatory under the Ministry of Labor and Social Protection of the Population. The session, held for third-year students of the Social Work program at the Faculty of Social Sciences and Psychology, focused on “The Current State and Prospects of the Labor Market.” The masterclass covered key global trends, including digital transformation, the application of artificial intelligence, the rise of the green economy, and the evolving global structure of professions. Drawing on findings from the latest World Economic Forum, Ali Taghizade explained the concept of “Future Jobs,” highlighting the growing demand in fields such as sustainable development, cybersecurity, artificial intelligence engineering, social innovation, and human resources management. He emphasized that alongside technical expertise, employers increasingly prioritize soft skills such as communication, teamwork, emotional intelligence, and problem-solving. The event also provided insights into the current labor market situation in Azerbaijan, noting the rising need for qualified specialists in information technologies, social services, education, and industrial sectors.
