Sustainable Development Goals at Baku State University.

At the Faculty of Geography of Baku State University (BSU), a masterclass was conducted on the topic “Establishing and Developing a Startup”. The session was led by İsa Qasımov, a BSU alumnus and current head of the “Enterprise Azerbaijan” portal under the Economic Reforms Analysis and Communication Center.

From the beginning of the masterclass, Mr. Gasimov captured the attention of the students, emphasizing that startups are not limited to the IT sector but can be created in any field as initiatives reflecting new ideas.

The session was conducted primarily in an interactive and discussion-based format, with students openly sharing their thoughts. Faculty members also actively participated in the discussions.

Using a series of slides, Mr. Gasimov guided students to think beyond conventional frameworks, encouraged them to generate non-standard ideas, and demonstrated how to apply their knowledge in diverse directions during these processes.

The masterclass was received with great interest and enthusiasm by all participants.
