Meeting held with students at BSU Psychological Support Sector’s “Reading Club”

The first student meeting of the academic year was held within the “Reading Club” established on the initiative of the Psychological Support Sector of Baku State University (BSU).

The club’s leader, psychologist Ilkana Mansumova, provided information about the purpose and main areas of activity of the “Reading Club.” She noted that the club aims to strengthen students’ reading habits, enhance their thinking and analytical skills, and promote awareness of psychological and personal development topics.

During the meeting, participants discussed the role of reading culture in shaping an individual’s personality, emotional enrichment, and development of social skills. Students were introduced to the first piece of literature to be discussed and were given assignments for the next session.

It was noted that the “Reading Club” will hold weekly meetings throughout the year. Each session will involve joint reading and discussion of literature from various genres and themes. Additionally, encouraging active student participation, idea exchange, and fostering a creative thinking environment are among the club’s primary goals.
