On the occasion of 5 December – International Volunteer Day, Baku State University (BDU) Rector Elchin Babayev met with active members of the “BSU Volunteers” organization. The meeting also included young individuals who were formerly volunteers and now serve as staff members at BDU.
The Rector congratulated the volunteers on this special day and wished them success in their activities. He emphasized that the engagement of volunteers in the university’s social, academic, and educational processes significantly contributes to enhancing BSU’s reputation and development. Volunteers represent BSU in various areas, providing invaluable support both to their personal growth and the university’s initiatives.
The “BSU Volunteers” organization, an integral part of the BSU community, currently unites over 2,000 members. Since 2019, 27 members of the organization have joined BSU as full-time staff.
At the conclusion of the meeting, certificates of appreciation were awarded to volunteers recognized for their exceptional dedication and contribution.
