Our master's students are undertaking internship training at the Forensic Science Center
Master’s students specializing in Chemical Expertise at the Department of Analytical Chemistry of the Faculty of Chemistry, Baku State University (BSU), are currently completing their industrial internship at the Forensic Science Center of the Ministry of Justice of the Republic of Azerbaijan.
During the internship, the students gain first-hand experience with the expert examination processes carried out in the Center’s chemistry division. They become familiar with methods used for the analysis of narcotic substances and other chemical compounds, while also deepening their understanding of modern physicochemical analytical techniques.
As part of their practical training, the students work with advanced laboratory instruments, including infrared (IR) spectrometers, gas chromatography–mass spectrometry (GC–MS) systems, and other high-technology analytical equipment. These experiences enable them to develop practical skills in substance identification, characterization, and forensic chemical analysis.
The application of modern analytical methods and exposure to real forensic investigations have generated considerable interest among the students, contributing significantly to their professional development and practical expertise in chemical analysis.
