A working meeting was held at Baku State University (BSU) to prepare several academic specializations for international accreditation. The meeting brought together faculty deans, department chairs, specialization coordinators, and quality assurance representatives. The main objective of the gathering was to assess the compliance of BSU’s academic programs with international standards, strengthen the university’s quality assurance mechanisms, and enhance readiness for the upcoming accreditation process.
During the discussions, participants reviewed the steps and requirements necessary for the international accreditation of the following specializations: International Law, Clinical (Medical) Psychology, Conflict Studies, Nanomaterials Chemistry, Environmental Chemistry, Molecular Biology, Biophysics, Microbiology, Geochemistry, Solid-State Electronics, Radiation Materials Science, Mathematical Modelling, Discrete Systems, and Mathematical Analysis. The meeting focused on accreditation criteria, documentation procedures, alignment of curricula with global standards, and active involvement of both faculty and students in the preparation process.
It was emphasized that the international accreditation of these specializations will contribute significantly to improving the university’s teaching quality, strengthening its scientific potential, and enhancing its global competitiveness. The efforts undertaken in this direction will play an important role in further reinforcing BSU’s position within the international higher education landscape.
