Sustainable Development Goals at Baku State University.

A presentation ceremony for the transliterated edition of the Dirilik magazine was held at the Litera publishing house under “MİMTA Yayımları.” The event featured speeches about the historical and cultural significance of the transliterated work in understanding early 20th‑century Azerbaijani social and cultural life. Professor Cahangir Məmmədli, Head of the Department of National Press History at Baku State University (BSU), spoke about the role of Dirilik in Azerbaijan’s cultural and spiritual thought, and highlighted the value of preserving such works for future generations. Researcher‑writer Muxtar Cəfərli and other faculty members and students also discussed the importance of transliteration in making historical texts accessible and relevant for modern readers. The ceremony concluded with a book presentation and commemorative photos.

The Dirilik transliterated edition, published with support from British Petroleum (bp) and the MİMTA Foundation, includes issues of the influential early 20th‑century journal originally published between 1914 and 1916—an important source for researchers of Azerbaijani press history and national identity development. The project was presented as a valuable contribution to the 150th anniversary of Azerbaijan’s national press.
