01-05-2026

A training session titled “Group Therapy” was organized at Baku State University (BSU) within the framework of the “Me and My Shadow” project through the joint initiative of members of the BSU Volunteers organization representing the Faculty of Social Sciences and Psychology and the ASAN Volunteers Organization.

Chair of the Faculty of Social Sciences and Psychology division of BSU Volunteers Fidan Jalilova spoke about the growing importance of psychological awareness in contemporary society. She noted that such initiatives positively contribute to students’ personal development while strengthening their self-awareness and social communication skills.

The training was conducted by psychologist and psychotherapist Firuza Aliyeva, who provided participants with detailed information about the core principles of therapy, its impact on psychological well-being, and the advantages of group therapy compared to individual therapy.

During the practical part of the session, participants engaged in various interactive activities aimed at improving self-expression, emotional awareness, and effective communication within a group environment.
