Sustainable Development Goals at Baku State University.

Baku State University (Baku State University) will organize a special training session within the framework of the 13th session of the World Urban Forum (World Urban Forum 13 (WUF13)), titled “Green Homes, Green Balconies: Small-Scale Hydroponic Solutions for Climate-Resilient Cities.”

The training session will explore how residential homes and apartment balconies can be transformed into climate-resilient, resource-efficient, and healthier living spaces through the application of small-scale hydroponic systems. Participants will gain practical knowledge on sustainable urban living, efficient water use, local food production, urban greening, and climate adaptation solutions tailored for dense urban environments.

The interactive session will combine expert presentations, visual demonstrations, group work, and scenario-based exercises. It will also enable participants to design simple “green balcony” and “green home” concepts applicable to their own cities and communities.
