19-03-2026

A scientific seminar dedicated to Science Day in Azerbaijan was held at Baku State University (BSU), organized by the Faculty of Social Sciences and Psychology.

During the seminar, Associate Professor Elmina Kazimzade from the Department of Gender and Applied Psychology delivered a lecture on “Social-emotional skills and school leadership.”

The lecture covered modern approaches in educational psychology, the role of social-emotional skills in the learning process, and the development of leadership within school environments. It was emphasized that research in this field enables a deeper understanding of learning behaviors, motivation, and student personality development.

In her speech, Elmina Kazimzade highlighted the shift in modern education systems from focusing on “what to learn” to “how to learn.” She noted that this approach is essential for organizing more effective learning processes, unlocking students’ potential, and fostering inclusive educational environments.

The seminar also included discussions on integrating social-emotional learning into education, creating safe and supportive school environments, and the role of positive psychology in this context.
