A roundtable titled “Constitution and Natural Resources: A Scientific-Legal Perspective” was held at Baku State University (BSU) as part of the “Year of the Constitution and Sovereignty,” organized jointly by the Student Trade Union Committees of the Faculties of Geology and Law.
Law student Roza Khalilova spoke about the essence of the Constitution of Azerbaijan and the fundamental principles of state structure. She highlighted that the Constitution embodies core values such as state sovereignty, territorial integrity, state property, and the protection of human rights. She also provided information on the provisions related to the protection of natural resources included in the Constitution and other legislative acts.
Geology student Saima Annagiyeva delivered a presentation on “The Role of Oil and Geology in the Dimensions of Science and Law.” She discussed the importance of geological research, scientific methods used in the exploration of oil reserves, and the legal aspects of these processes. She emphasized that the protection and proper management of natural resources are essential from both scientific and legislative perspectives.
During the event, students engaged in discussions on topics such as the impact of the Constitution on geological policy, state control over natural resources, and the development of scientific research. The roundtable continued with an exchange of views and interactive dialogue.
