Sustainable Development Goals at Baku State University.

The Student Trade Union Committee (THIK) of the Chemistry Faculty at Baku State University (BSU) organized an educational event titled "Say No to Addiction, Say Yes to the Future!" The event aimed to raise awareness among youth about the importance of avoiding narcotic substances and to provide information on the dangers of harmful habits.

The event was opened by the Vice Dean for Social Affairs and Student Work, Taleh Gahramanov, who emphasized that drug addiction is a serious threat not only to the individual but also to the future of their family and society. He highlighted that drugs destroy both physical and mental health, and that young people should prioritize a healthy lifestyle to become productive members of society.

Following this, the THIK Chair of the Chemistry Faculty, Afsaneh Yusifova, presented information on different types of drugs, their hidden circulation, and the addiction they cause. She noted that while drugs may initially create a feeling of relief, they ultimately lead to severe physical and psychological dependency. The event concluded with the screening of a video illustrating the negative impacts of drugs on human life.
