A scientific seminar titled “Our Historical-Cultural Heritage and Modern Society” was jointly organized by the volunteers of the History Faculty of Baku State University (“BSU Volunteers”) and the volunteers of ASAN xidmet No. 3 Baku Center.
During the event, Hijran Mahmudova, PhD in History and lecturer at the Department of Archaeology and Ethnography of the History Faculty, delivered a presentation on Azerbaijan’s rich historical and cultural heritage. She emphasized the importance of preserving this heritage, transmitting it to future generations, and promoting its values within society.
The speaker also addressed historical monuments located in Western Azerbaijan and discussed monuments included in the UNESCO World Heritage List, underlining their universal cultural significance.
The seminar contributed to raising awareness among young people about the protection of cultural heritage and strengthening their understanding of its role in shaping modern society.
