Sustainable Development Goals at Baku State University.

A scientific excursion to the Hasan bey Zardabi Museum of Natural History was organized by the Student Scientific Society of the Faculty of Ecology and Soil Science at Baku State University as part of activities dedicated to **Science Day in Azerbaijan>, observed on 27 March.

The purpose of the excursion was to strengthen students’ theoretical knowledge in the natural sciences through practical observation and to provide a clearer understanding of biodiversity, geological development, paleontological discoveries, and ecosystem formation. Museum staff delivered detailed information on the museum’s rich collections showcasing Azerbaijan’s flora and fauna, as well as rare fossils, minerals, and rock specimens.

Students closely examined the exhibits and gained extensive knowledge about the evolution of living organisms, the impact of climate change on nature, and the importance of conserving natural resources. Specimens representing different geographical regions of Azerbaijan contributed to enhancing students’ scientific interest and helped shape future research directions.

The excursion continued with interactive discussions and a question-and-answer session, during which students shared their views on the topics discussed and received recommendations aimed at broadening their scientific perspectives.
