Sustainable Development Goals at Baku State University.

A scientific seminar titled “Development of Vaccines and Therapeutic Proteins” was delivered by Professor Tarlan Mammadov, graduate of the Faculty of Chemistry of Baku State University (BSU), Corresponding Member of ANAS, and Head of the Molecular Biotechnology Center at Akdeniz University (Türkiye).

During the seminar, Professor Mammadov provided detailed information about vaccines developed against the COVID-19 virus. He noted that the vaccine developed by his research team has demonstrated effectiveness against all variants of COVID-19.

Professor Mammadov also stated that preclinical studies for several significant vaccines — including those targeting anthrax, malaria, and rabies — have been completed and have progressed to the stage of human clinical trials.

Following an engaging exchange of views, the seminar concluded with an interactive question-and-answer session.
