Sustainable Development Goals at Baku State University.

A scientific seminar titled “The Role of Artificial Intelligence in Data‑Driven News Production” was held at the Faculty of Journalism of Baku State University (BSU). The session was opened by Professor Qulu Maharremli, Head of the Department of Multimedia and Electronic Communications, who spoke about the innovations artificial intelligence (AI) is bringing to various fields, including media. Lecturer Arzu İsayeva delivered a presentation focusing on how AI technologies influence the media sector, trends in data‑driven journalism, and the innovations AI has introduced into news production. She detailed modern analytical tools used in the newsroom, AI‑based content generation, AI’s capabilities in fact‑checking, and the contemporary challenges faced by journalism. Faculty members, doctoral students, master’s students, and researchers also spoke about various practical examples of AI application in media. Participants highlighted the seminar’s relevance and emphasized the importance of continuing research in this direction.
