On 7 October 2025, a Victory Day-related event was held for first-year students of the Faculty of Physics at Baku State University.
During the event, the Faculty’s deputy dean for social affairs and student work, Muhammed Maharremov, delivered a speech on the history and causes of the Nagorno-Karabakh conflict, the events of the First Karabakh War, and the path to the major victory achieved in the Second Karabakh War. He emphasized that the foundation of this victory was laid in earlier years through the visionary policies of National Leader Heydar Aliyev, who strengthened Azerbaijan’s independence and initiated the development of a strong regular army and resilient economy. Məhərrəmov further noted the continued efforts under the leadership of President Ilham Aliyev that contributed to the restoration of state sovereignty and extensive reconstruction of liberated territories.
The seminar served as an opportunity for students to deepen their understanding of Azerbaijan’s recent history and national achievements, while reinforcing the importance of preserving cultural values and striving to become skilled professionals for the country’s future development.
