Sustainable Development Goals at Baku State University.

A scientific seminar by a professor from the University of Lahore was held at the Faculty of Physics of Baku State University within the framework of the IX International “Modern Trends in Physics” conference.

The event took place on 26 November 2025 and featured Professor Muhammad Iftikhar Khan, Dean of the Faculty of Physics at the University of Lahore, who delivered a seminar presentation on “The influence of La dopant on the optoelectronic and structural characteristics of CsPbIBr₂ perovskite solar cells.”

In his presentation, Professor Khan explained that lead halide‑based inorganic perovskite solar cells are distinguished by their high energy conversion efficiency and that heteroatom substitution is one of the most promising methods to improve their material properties and device performance. The seminar included discussion of the synthesis processes and characteristics of La‑doped CsPbIBr₂ perovskite compounds, revealing that these materials form a cubic crystal structure with large‑scale crystallites and altered bandgap properties. He also discussed measured optoelectronic and structural characteristics using various analytical techniques.

The seminar continued with a question‑and‑answer session, during which participants had the opportunity to engage with the speaker and discuss aspects of his research.
