Sustainable Development Goals at Baku State University.

A training session titled “Speech Fluency Disorder and Its Correction” was organized by members of the “BSU Volunteers” organization within the Faculty of Social Sciences and Psychology at Baku State University.

The session was led by speech therapist Mətanət Qafarova, who provided participants with broad insights into the psychological and speech‑therapeutic aspects of stuttering, its underlying mechanisms, and effective methods of communication and support for people who stutter.

In the practical portion of the training, students practiced exercises aimed at controlling speech and mastering proper breathing techniques. To assess correct diaphragm breathing, the trainer conducted breathing evaluations and administered tests to measure students’ breath strength and direction. Additionally, special speech‑therapy tools and massage instruments were used to help develop proper articulation.
