The Psychological Assistance Sector at Baku State University (BSU) organized a training titled “The Impact of Cognitive Distortions on Our Emotional Life.” Students from all faculties participated in the session.
Psychologist İlkana Mansumova explained the role of thinking in social and emotional life, its influence on feelings and behavior, and introduced the most common cognitive distortions. The session highlighted how these distortions arise in daily life due to various factors and presented techniques for addressing them in a healthier, more functional way.
The training concluded with an interactive Q&A, where students engaged in practical exercises aimed at replacing negative thought patterns with functional, positive thinking strategies.
