A training session on “Combating Human Trafficking” was conducted at Baku State University (BSU) by the Assistance Center for Victims of Human Trafficking under the Social Services Agency of Azerbaijan, operating within the Ministry of Labour and Social Protection of Population of Azerbaijan.
During the training, Fatima Abishova provided detailed insights into the regulation of human trafficking crimes in both national legislation and international legal frameworks. The distinctions between human trafficking and related crimes—such as crimes against humanity, war crimes, kidnapping, and human smuggling—were explained.
The trainer also discussed the methods used to recruit and exploit victims of human trafficking and presented relevant statistical data to raise awareness among students.
The session continued in an interactive discussion format.
