An awareness-raising training titled “Modern Approaches to Solid Waste Management” was organized at Baku State University by the “BSU Volunteers,” delivered by Orkhan Jabbarov, Head of Department at Tamiz Shahar OJSC.
During the training, participants received detailed information on fostering “green thinking,” increasing environmental responsibility, ensuring proper waste management, and understanding the importance of recycling processes.
Within the framework of the event, it was also announced that Baku State University has joined the “Card to Art” social and environmental project, implemented at the initiative of Tamiz Shahar OJSC with the support of partner organizations. In this regard, special collection boxes for plastic cards have been placed in the university’s academic buildings.
It was noted that the plastic cards collected as part of the project will be provided to creative individuals and transformed into various works of art. The artworks produced will be exhibited at the “Card to Art” exhibition to be held at the “From Waste to Art” Museum, operating under the initiative of the Heydar Aliyev Foundation.
