Sustainable Development Goals at Baku State University.

A training session titled “Sustainable Future Through Insurance” was held for students at Baku State University (BSU), jointly organized by the BSU Career and Alumni Center and the Labor Market and Social Protection Affairs National Observatory under the Ministry of Labor and Social Protection of the Population. The session was delivered by Emil Ağabağırov, Social Insurance Trainer at “Mega Insurance” OJSC.

During the training, Emil Ağabağırov presented the concept of insurance, its types, stages of historical development, operational principles, as well as the role of insurance mechanisms in strengthening social protection. He also discussed the advantages of voluntary insurance and the importance of public–private partnership in this field.

The trainer emphasized that every young person should understand the necessity of being included in the social insurance system once they begin their professional life and should utilize this mechanism effectively for personal security and well-being.

According to him, properly structured insurance mechanisms contribute to risk management, prevention of unexpected losses, protection of family budgets and overall economic stability—ultimately ensuring a sustainable future.
