Sustainable Development Goals at Baku State University.

The next training program on “Digital Journalism” has begun at Baku State University (BSU) under the Euronews Academy project, jointly organized by the Media Development Agency of Azerbaijan (MEDIA) and the Euronews TV channel. The program aims to share international media practices and provide participants with practical skills in digital journalism.

At the opening ceremony, Fernando Soares, Executive Director of Euronews in Baku, said that the training provides an important platform for learning global media standards and the practical use of emerging technologies. Natig Mammadli, Deputy Executive Director of MEDIA, emphasized that the development of media is directly linked to professional growth and innovation, and that international projects like this contribute to strengthening the digital skills of local journalists.

The first day of training focused on digital news gathering and data‑driven journalism, with multimedia journalist Tuba Altunkaya introducing participants to digital data analysis, fact‑checking, and story structuring in the digital environment.

The program continues with interactive lectures, group assignments, and video analyses, including future sessions on social media and YouTube channel management and mobile journalism.
