Sustainable Development Goals at Baku State University.

Students of the 4th year of the “Food Engineering” program of the Department of Molecular Biology and Biotechnology at the Faculty of Biology of Baku State University (BSU) participated in a practical training session at “Herba-Flora” LLC within the framework of the course “Technological Processes in the Food Industry”.

The session, led by Associate Professor Chingiz Aliyev, was conducted in collaboration with the specialists of “Herba-Flora” LLC. The students were provided with comprehensive information about the design and modernization of technological lines applied in food production and public catering services, as well as the modern equipment used in the chemical analysis laboratory of the enterprise.

In line with the course curriculum, the students observed the theoretical and practical foundations of creating technological lines and examined the structure, operating principles, and technical specifications of equipment, machinery, and apparatus used in the food and pharmaceutical industries.

During the visit, the students also familiarized themselves with the storage facility for plant raw materials, the technical tools and devices ensuring quality preservation, and the processes involved in packaging and transportation of finished products. Additionally, a demonstration of the structural scheme of the technological line for sesame oil production at “Herba-Flora” LLC was presented.

At the end of the session, the enterprise's specialists answered the students’ questions.
