The “Zefer salnamesi” event was organized jointly by the Student Youth Organization and the Student Trade Union Committee of the Chemistry Faculty at Baku State University in honor of November 8 – Victory Day.
The event was attended by the faculty leadership, professors, students, and participants of the Patriotic War. The State Anthem was performed, and a minute of silence was observed in memory of the martyrs who sacrificed their lives for the liberation of our lands.
The Dean of the Chemistry Faculty, Associate Professor Fuad Karimli, emphasized that November 8 – Victory Day will remain a symbol of pride, patriotism, and unity in the history of the Azerbaijani people. He highlighted that under the leadership of President and Supreme Commander Ilham Aliyev, the Azerbaijani Army restored historical justice by liberating lands that had been occupied for nearly 30 years.
Taleh Gahramanov, Deputy Dean for Social Affairs and Student Work, noted that the unity of Leader–Army–People during the war was the main symbol of Victory, emphasizing the Azerbaijani people’s unwavering determination both on the battlefield and in moral struggle during the 44-day war.
Associate Professor Elgul Huseynova expressed that the sacred memory of the martyrs will always live in hearts and performed a poem dedicated to the homeland.
Veterans Ismayıl Hajiyev, Elshen Jabrayilov, and Namiq Amanov shared their experiences from the Patriotic War, recounting the paths of battle and the heroism of their comrades. They honored their fallen comrades and encouraged the youth to remain patriotic, brave, and loyal to the state.
The event concluded with an artistic program.
