Khadija Zeynalli, a fourth-year student of the Faculty of Biology, achieved outstanding success at the Azerbaijan Cup in capoeira held in Baku. The competition was organized jointly by the Azerbaijan Capoeira Federation and the Ministry of Youth and Sports at the Balakhani Sports Center in celebration of Baku being selected as the World Sports Capital for 2026.
The tournament, held on February 21–22, 2026, brought together clubs and representatives from various regions of the country. Competitions were organized across multiple categories for children, teenagers, youth, and adults.
According to the final results, Khadija Zeynalli secured first place in the 16+ professional category. In addition, she was recognized as the Best Female Athlete of the tournament for her exceptional performance.
The Faculty of Biology congratulates Khadija Zeynalli on her achievement and wishes her continued success in her future sporting and academic endeavors.
